If you have never had a professional bra fitting, it is completely normal to feel a little nervous.
You may be wondering what you should wear, whether you will have to undress, if your size will be available or whether you will feel pressured to purchase something. Bra shopping can already feel personal, especially when you have spent years dealing with discomfort or struggling to find options that work for your body.
That is exactly why I want you to know what to expect before you arrive.
A Shush fitting is private, personal and educational. This is not about criticizing your body or forcing you into one particular size. It is about understanding what your body needs today and helping you experience what proper support can actually feel like.
You do not need to know your size before booking. In fact, many women come to me because they have been guessing their size for years.
A fitting may be helpful if:
Your straps dig or constantly slip.
Your band rides up your back.
Your cups gap, spill or cut into your breast tissue.
Your underwire pokes, shifts or refuses to stay in place.
You adjust your bra throughout the day.
Your clothing is no longer sitting the way you want it to.
Your body has changed through weight changes, motherhood, breastfeeding, menopause, surgery or aging.
You have a fuller cup size and struggle to find beautiful options across smaller or larger bands.
You are simply ready to stop guessing.
Shush carries bras and lingerie in sizes 28AA–48L, with particular expertise in fuller cups, smaller-band/full-cup sizes and full-figure sizing.
You do not need to buy anything or prepare an exact measurement before you come.
Plan for 60 minutes for an individual fitting. Appointments for two guests are scheduled for 90 minutes so each woman has time for personal attention without feeling rushed.
If possible, arrive wearing one of the bras you currently wear most often. Seeing what is and is not working gives me a helpful starting point. You may also bring a fitted top, dress or special outfit if you want to see how a new bra works underneath it.
Think about what has been bothering you and what you need your bra to do. Maybe you need comfortable everyday support, a smooth bra for work, something wireless, a sports bra or the right foundation for a special outfit.
If you have a preferred budget, tell me at the beginning. That helps me choose options that make sense for both your body and your priorities.
Every fitting begins with a conversation—not a measuring tape.
I will ask about your current bras, your comfort concerns, your daily routine and what you want from the appointment. There is no wrong answer. You may want more lift, less movement, a smoother shape under clothing, relief from digging or simply something beautiful that makes you feel good.
This is also the time to tell me if anything about the fitting makes you feel uncertain. I want you to understand what is happening and feel comfortable throughout the experience.
Your bra size is a starting point, not the entire story.
During the assessment, I look at how your current bra is working with your body. I consider the band, cups, straps, center gore, breast shape, tissue and the kind of support you need in everyday life.
Different brands and styles can fit differently, even when the size printed on the label is the same. That is why a Shush fitting goes beyond taking measurements. I am looking for the combination of size, shape and structure that works for you.
Most importantly, your body is not being graded. If a bra does not fit, the bra is the problem—not your body.
Once I understand what you need, I bring you a curated selection to try.
Rather than overwhelming you with an entire store, I choose styles based on your shape, support needs, lifestyle, wardrobe and preferences. As you try each bra, I explain what I am looking for and why a particular style may work better than another.
You will learn how a supportive band should feel, how the cups should hold your breast tissue and how to recognize when a bra is doing its job. My goal is not only to help you find a bra that fits that day. I want you to leave knowing more about your body and what to look for in the future.
Your appointment is private and one-on-one. You will have privacy to change, and I will explain the fitting process as we move through it.
You are always in control of what feels comfortable. You can ask questions, pause or decline assistance at any point. There is no judgment about your body, your current bra, your size or how long it has been since your last fitting.
I have worked with women who felt excited, nervous, frustrated, vulnerable and everything in between. You do not have to arrive feeling confident. We can start exactly where you are.
No. My job is to educate you, show you the difference and help you make an informed decision.
Your $80 personalized bra fitting is applied toward your purchase during your appointment. You may begin with one essential bra or select several pieces to start building a bra wardrobe. If the best option is not available in your preferred size or color, I can explain the special-order options.
The goal is not to send you home with the most bras. It is to help you choose bras you will actually wear.
Once we identify what works, future shopping becomes much easier. You will have a better understanding of your size range, shape, preferred styles and the different kinds of support your life requires.
Remember that your fit can change. Weight changes, hormones, motherhood, menopause, surgery, aging and even changes in activity can affect how a bra feels. Your Shush experience includes a refit within one year so we can reassess if your body or needs change.
Virtual fittings are available for women who cannot visit in person.
For a virtual appointment, prepare:
A well-lit, private space
A soft measuring tape
Two or three bras you currently wear
Any tops or outfits you would like support for
We will discuss your concerns, review your current fit and identify a personalized starting point together.
For many women, the most surprising part of a fitting is realizing how much discomfort they had accepted as normal.
You deserve a bra that supports your body, your clothing and your everyday life. You also deserve a fitting experience where you feel heard, respected and cared for.
Your body has changed. Your bra should too.
